According to an article in today's Trib, consumers are tired of being frugal - they're ready to splurge!
Since I've started fine-tuning my financial ways, I've decided that if I can get something for less (there's always a way!), I will. Of course, that's not to say that splurging isn't enticing. Heck, it only took me a moment to think of what I would buy.
If I was to pick something to splurge on, it would be one of these beauties:
The Tiffany & Co key collection, which start at about $150 and go up, naturally, as you add sparkling diamond additions and decide on your precious metal of choice. My favorite is the quatrefoil key pendant which retails for $1,000.
What's something fun you would splurge on, and when do you think it's appropriate to buy yourself an expensive present? The difference between pre- and post-recession me is that I don't buy items just because. I need a good reason to make a purchase.
That's not to say I wouldn't accept the necklace as a birthday present. Dec. 15. Just sayin' ... .
So, share the details. Are you sick of penny-pinching or does it still thrill you? And, just for fun, what would you splurge on?
xoxo,
Lisa Marie
