One of the most wonderful times of the year is near! It's been confirmed by an associate at the Water Tower Place location: Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale will start in stores on June 16.
The bras will be 25-50 percent off, underwear up to 50 percent off and other goodies like lotion, makeup and perfume will be marked down, too.
We all know how important it is to cover, lift, accentuate and when you're feeling sassy, decorate, but make sure you go into the sale with a game plan. After my first Victoria's Secret semi-annual experience - when I walked away with enough cotton underwear for an army - I learned that I need to prepare before entering situations where I'll be weak, like an amazing sale event.
I take stock of what I currently have and what I need, especially when it comes to color and pattern choices. Generally speaking, go wild with your underwear colors and patterns, but be careful with bras, as it's often more useful to have a neutral color than a bright pink and orange lacy number (I may know this from experience).
Before you checkout, give yourself time to really think about your purchases. Could this money pad your savings account? What if you split it up 50/50 and purchase half of the items you were intending to buy, and put the money you saved into your savings? Then, it's a win-win situation and you'll avoid buyer's remorse!
