Its name is intriguing and the idea behind JobAngels is even better: help people find employment.
JobAngels started on Twitter and is quickly expanding to other social media outlets. According to its Web site, founder Mark Stelzner realized a majority of his Twitter followers were in the human resources industry. In January, he asked his followers if they would each help one person find a job - the response was overwhelming and JobAngels was born.
The simple goal behind the grassroots movement is to put a dent in unemployment. JobAngels focuses on using Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebookto help job-seekers and hirers network and collaborate.
The JobAngels' community posts openings and allows job seekers to share the field or position they're looking to work in (you also can get creative and share a link to your resume, your online portfolio, etc.).
To get started, follow the group on Twitter and join its Facebook and LinkedIn groups. From there, all you have to do is join the discussion and hope that there's an Angel looking out for you, or spread your angel wings if you're looking to hire!
xoxo,
Lisa Marie
